Pilatus - the Dragon Mountain

For years mysterious legends and myths have enveloped the «mons fractus», as the mountain was once called. Good-natured dragons and countless spiritual beings are said to have lived on the mountain in the middle ages. According to legend, even the restless soul of the Roman governor Pontius Pilate should be in the former Pilatus Lake.

In a half-day tour we explore the mystical past of Mount Pilatus with the «Golden Round Trip» in five different types of transport: bus, aerial cableway, cable car, cogwheel train and boat or train. The following highlights promise exciting excursions on and around the 2132m high mountain of Lucerne.
